The Problem with Gorgoroth and LGBTPQ+ “Black Metal”

LGBT "Black Metal" Band Gorgoroth.

The problem with sad and pathetic “poser” bands like Gorgoroth – and the rest of the DSBM scene and orthodox clown show – is that they are very “loaded” on style, yet come very short on substance.

What that means is that behind all the distortion, the blast-beats and the edgy teenage lyrics about goats and Satan, bands like Gorgoroth and Watain basically play “black ‘n roll”, which is just another term for normie music pretending to be “evil”, “occult”, “extreme”, etc.

In other words, it’s all just modern music industry marketing. Their formula is quite simple, too. 100% style, 0% substance. “Image” over sound, every time.

Real black metal cannot be achieved by imitating the “style” of the artistic founders of the genre (Dead, Varg, Euronymous, etc). This “outside in” view is, in itself, antithetical to the true spirit of black metal.

True black metal requires an “inside out” view of life, where music is seen merely as a tool to express something more profound, something that once was… not the “LGBTPQ+” (lesbian / gay / bi / trans / pedosexual / queer) version of Nordic music.

Gorgoroth’s music is “angry” rock ‘n roll with satanic lyrics, a slightly more edgy Pantera with the same reliance on groove and pop hooks in place of talented riff craft (see Burzum) or impeccable atmosphere (see Leader).

Gorgoroth (Gaygoroth) are basically posers amongst the posers. Even Slipknot fans make fun of them for being insufficiently heterosexual. And that’s saying something.
